After that, give yourself a little breathing room.

Those first weeks don't need to look like school. Ours didn't. We read together, spent time outside, and talked more than we ever had. It felt slow, but something important was happening underneath it. As you go, a simple daily rhythm tends to settle in on its own.

If you're not sure what to do next, don't build a full plan.

Just start with one thing.

Read a book together. Follow a question your child asks. See what holds their attention.
